Just like you figured out your wheels would be lighter than Opiums??? You'll also wanna factor in strength into that equation.... And how much does the iodine post cost?

I was ok, so was my passanger. Slid out on an off camber on some ice. Hit the guard rail and flipped. It was supercharged and heavily modded so it kinda sucks. But now I get to car shop!

their made of a silicon foam and they are not really meat for dh use so when you hit really hard you hand litterally feel the bar, as if the grip wasn't there. They fully compress and you bottom out the like 1/4" of grip travel

Grips were ESI chunky silicon- 60g a pair, but they bottom out on the bar on really hard impacts. Rotors are Ashima available through J+B importers. I bought a pair after chatting with the designer at interbike last year and I will never go back to regular rotors. Just 113grams for a 185 and they are half the price and run cooler. But they will chew a resin pad up pretty quick so I recommend only running semi-metallic

The wheels are pretty light, then I started out with minion exo tires- which were not usable I found out. Those rotors are much lighter than Avids, pedals are also very light but fragile (The plates bend if you hit something really hard but since they come completely apart I could always straighten the plates and reassemble.) Then those grips are light as is the seat an post.

After scrapping the tires and grips then adding some black ops pedals and a 2011 boxxer wc it moved the weight up to 36.1

Again- 5 years your travis is within 5 years. But whatever suit yourself. I form my opinions on 8 years of industry experience. My experience is that about 90% of manitou and Marz owners who come in with issues get told by the manufacture they need a new fork, fox and rockshox only about 5%. Hopefully you have better luck, but based on ther track record i doubt you will.

no surprise on the marzo, and not sure what point you're trying to make there with the travis comment. they make parts for up to 5 years for old forks, but you can't drop new technology in, rockshox and fox you can replace your blown damper with their newest nicest ones with ease-supporting existing existing customers instead of f***ing em and trying to sell a new fork. f tard

I've taken it out. The proof manitous are no good is they make something then ditch it the next year. So everyone with a couple year old manitou when they need parts they need a new fork. Other companies at least make their parts retrofitable to older models even if they ditched that technology. Plus how many other forks have you seen the lowers fall off on. theres 3 cases above my post alone for manitou

the internals of a durolux and a fox are nothing alike at all. And manitous do indeed suck i had my lower fall off in the air once, that was fun.
